Serum Testosterone Levels: Diabetic rats exhibited lower testosterone levels, which increased significantly after Cordyceps treatment, which can be seen in the following photo.

Diabetes (DM) decreases testosterone levels, but Cordyceps supplementation increases testosterone levels.

Copulatory Behavior: Diabetic rats displayed no copulatory behavior during sexual tests, but Cordyceps administration improved sexual behavior in both diabetic and healthy rats.

Antioxidant Effects: Diabetes increased oxidative stress markers, including malondialdehyde (MDA) and reduced glutathione (GSH) and catalase (CAT) levels. Cordyceps treatment reduced MDA levels and increased GSH and CAT levels in diabetic rats.

Conclusions:

The study demonstrates that Cordyceps can effectively counteract diabetes-induced reproductive dysfunction in rats. It improves sperm parameters, testosterone levels, and sexual behavior while reducing oxidative stress. While further research is needed, these findings suggest that Cordyceps militaris may hold promise as a natural remedy for addressing male reproductive issues associated with diabetes.
